Social Network for Beer Pong Players

The makers of Inflatapong.com, the floating beer table, have created a Social Network for beer pong players. With an interface much like Myspace, pongleague.net allows the user to create his/her own profile along with beer pong teams to manage their statistics. Another cool thing is you can add friends, pics and videos just like Myspace. Here is a exerp from PongLeague.net

Pongleague.net can best be described as a social network for beer pong players. Using rules first implemented by the World Series of Beer Pong, Pongleague.net is more than just a place to exchange personal information. It is a place where individual game stats are kept, allowing you to track your personal progression from tournament to tournament.”

“In official tournaments, all of your personal game statistics are tracked electronically on handheld PDA’s and wirelessly uploaded into our database. From there, game statistics are then displayed in your personal profile. In order to create a ranking system, we run every user’s statistics through a very elaborate weighted algorithm which converts them into a single “index” number. Each player’s index is then compared to every other index on the network. You can then compare your rank with others in the same school, city, region or state. You can even see how you stack up against the entire nation.”

I’ve noticed a few SoCalBeerPong teams have joined including: Snipers Inc., Yugoslavian Pancakes and Team Beirut. You can check out Bitch Betta Have My Chicken’s profile here pongleague.net/bbhmc
